Ovation
Celebrity Guitar
|
I actually bought My Ovation Celebrity
for my wife a few years ago for her birthday at Guitar Center after seeing it
online at
Musician's Friend. I was
under the impression that perhaps she would play with me once in a while. Well,
she doesn't play that often, but I sure like to pick it up from time to time,
and do some strumming.
The
Ovation Celebrity
isn't the most expensive guitar out there to be sure, but with a set of new,
freshly tuned strings on it, it sounds just as sweet as more expensive models
that Ovation offers.
It has a built-in tuner, and equalizer, and I play
it unplugged most of the time. Once in a while though, I'll plug it in, and
turn it up. Sounds fabulous.
If you're thinking about an
acoustic/electric guitar, either for yourself, or someone else, I don't think I
could recommend a better guitar for the money. I got mine for right around $300
at Guitar Center.
By the way, when you're looking online to do a little
guitar shopping, make sure you go to the store and play the guitar before you
decide to actually make a purchase. Its important to know that you'll like what
you get, and that its going to do the job you want it to. I can't even begin to
understand why someone would make this kind of purchase without playing it
first....you can buy online if you choose to, but be sure that you see it,
touch it, smell it, hear it, and play it first.
Also, go online to
Musician's Friend, and look at the
reviews that others have posted so you can get an idea as to what other
poeple's experience has been.
