The Dorian Scale

The Dorian mode is the same as the major mode, but the third and seventh notes are lowered 1/2 step

In the Key of E, this pattern occurs on the 2nd fret, and in the key of A, it occurs on the 7th fret...see if you can figure out where it would be found in other keys

This pattern in the Dorian mode can be found at the 4th through the 8th fret in the key of E...to play it in the key of F, simply put the F note where the orange dot is...you can do this for any key you wish to play in.

In the key of E, this scale pattern is located on frets 6 through 10...see if you can figure out where it would occur in other keys.

Remembering that the orange dots indicate the root note, see if you can determine where the next two patterns are found in the key of E.
